Vacaville Police Officer Laterals get a base pay of $50-$76/hourly plus additional pay incentives based on the following. Compensation of $159,210/annually is currently the top step of the range.

Lateral officers can also use up to 3 years of service + specialty assignment experience toward VPD's senior officer program! Exclusions apply.

Academy Graduate Pay

**$20,000 Hiring Incentive**

$43/hourly & $91,434/annually

‍Vacaville Police Officers must complete a POST approved law enforcement academy to be eligible for the Academy Graduate title and pay. Once Field Training is completed, Academy Graduates are elevated to Step 1 Police Officer pay of $104,599/annually.

Trainee Pay & Benefits

$43/hourly & $91,434/annually

Vacaville Police Officer Academy Grads get a base pay of $43/hourly plus additional pay based on the following. Compensation of $91,434/annually is currently the top step of the range. After successful completion of the academy, Police Officers receive step increases on an annual basis and may reach the top step after five years.
